Predators 5, Coyotes 1 (AP)

Nashville Predators goalie Chris Mason was caught a little off-guard when he was credited with a goal. Mason was credited with the goal -- the ninth by a goalie in NHL regular-season play -- and made 23 saves for his fifth consecutive victory in the Predators' 5-1 victory over the Phoenix Coyotes on Saturday night.

Predators 6, Red Wings 3 (AP)

The Red Wings felt they had nothing left to prove. The Nashville Predators wanted to finish the regular season having at least beaten Detroit once on their own ice. Paul Kariya's first goal was denied by video review, but he scored three more that counted for his ninth career hat trick, and the Nashville Predators snapped the Detroit's 20-game points streak with a 6-3 victory Tuesday night.

"It's all about the players every night," Torchetti said. "We can stand there and tell them what to do, but they're doing it.

Coyotes 5, Predators 3

Curtis Joseph is hesitant to talk about the milestones he's achieved this season. Phoenix Coyotes coach Wayne Gretzky is less bashful.

"What records show is consistency, and that's what he's been in his career," Gretzky said of Joseph, who made 28 saves for his 424th career win in the Coyotes' 5-3 victory over the Nashville Predators on Tuesday night. "He's been a professional and been liked with every team he's been with.
